Approved Provider

Having been involved in education for the past 27 years, I feel very strongly about the value of the Early Years Sector and the importance of children learning in a warm, secure and encouraging environment. I see children as unique and capable learners and I work consistently with our specifically chosen educators and teachers to ensure quality educational programs are being delivered in a secure and engaging early childhood setting.

We continuously reflect on our programs and strive towards being a centre of excellence each and every day. Our role here is not just to facilitate the traditional play based learning associated with Early Education but we are also here to assist the children in developing essential ‘life skills’ such as problem solving, development of logic and reasoning and social skills. We value the long term relationships that we have with our families and the local community; it is such a joy to share in your child’s journey and we take this role seriously. I look forward to meeting with you personally at the centre and introducing you to our amazing team. You are welcome to visit us at any time, view our exceptional programs in action and meet our quality educators.

Rebecca Renneberg

Assistant Director and Early Childhood Teacher

I have been teaching at Munchkins Early Education centre since it opened in December 2008 and I hold a Bachelor of Teaching – Early Childhood. From this year I have been working daily with our Nominated Supervisor assisting with the operations of the service. In my role as Assistant Director I have the ability to work more in a mentoring role and share my expertise with the team and families.

Having worked in education for the past ten years, I am passionate about the early years and believe that every child deserves the best start in life. I have had many years experience teaching from birth to five, with the majority of my experience being with the 3-5 year age group. This age group is both rewarding and challenging and I delight in guiding each and every child to discover, explore and experience the world in which they live.

Educational Leader and Early Childhood Teacher

I have had the pleasure of working in the Early Childhood profession for the past 27 years. Over this time I have been fortunate enough to experience the roles of teaching, directing and had the responsibilities of opening and setting up two new Early Childhood centres. My passion has always led me to the Early Childhood arena, the rewards in nurturing a child’s natural curiosity through play, observing a child engage and explore within the environment and working with families in the preparation for transition to school is fulfilling.

I strive to provide premium care, a place where children, families and educators co-exist with a sense of belonging and I enjoy nurturing children in a stimulating, secure, child centred environment. As a co facilitator in the classroom everyday the opportunity exists for me to motivate, challenge and engage a child’s inquisitive nature and promote a positive disposition for them to learn. The relationships I build I value and the memories I keep for years to come.

Nominated Supervisor

I have been at Munchkins Early Education Centre since the centre opening in December 2008, so I feel very much a part of this special learning facility. Living in the Maudsland community means that my three children have also been a part of the centre throughout the years and even now in their teenage years, enjoy centre events and celebrations.

Being the Nominated Supervisor has given me an amazing opportunity to lead a dedicated team of educators in providing a quality early educational program to the children in our care, whilst working closely with our families and the wider community.

Being nominated by my peers for the Australian Early Childhood Director of the year in 2016 and becoming one of the seven finalists was an honor and highlighted the amazing team that we have at Munchkins. In recognition of all our team’s hard work, we were later in 2016 rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Early Education and have worked across all areas of early education so have a very solid understanding of centre operations. In 2015, I extended my skills to managing our sister centre – Little Bunya’s Early Education Centre and provide ongoing support to their management team. My passion is Kindergarten with a large part of my experience centered around the journey in preparing students and families for the important transition to school. I would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome you to our Munchkins community.

I have worked in the Early Childhood profession for nearly 8 years. During this time, my passion for working with children has grown. The time spent has enabled me to learn more about how children learn and develop.

My continual aim is to offer children with interesting, play-based learning opportunities. My love for nature and the outdoors allows me to provide children with unique learning experiences and my interest in books helps me relate and connect with the children through stories.

I enjoy being part of the Munchkins team and look forward to continuing my learning journey in a fun and supportive environment.
